Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding Surgery

Laparoscopic placement of an adjustable band around the upper stomach is a procedure designed to provide early fullness with small, solid meals. The band can be tightened or relaxed through a port just beneath the abdominal skin surface that allows the surgeon to make adjustments to match an individual’s needs. The procedure is reversible.

Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy - Gallbladder Procedure

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a procedure that removes the gallbladder using a laparoscope, which is a thin, lighted tube that lets the doctor see inside your abdomen. The most common way to remove the gallbladder, this procedure is necessary when a patient has stones or inflammation in the gallbladder, causing pain.

Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery

Bypass Surgery is considered the “gold standard” of bariatric surgical procedures. This operation restricts the amount of solid food that can be ingested at one time, and limits the rate at which calories are absorbed in the small intestine. Once the operation has been performed, new eating habits are taught, which must be adhered to in order to avoid discomfort.

Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy

This procedure generates weight loss by removing 85% of the stomach without bypassing the intestines or causing any gastrointestinal malabsorption. It is purely a restrictive operation and is an alternative to the REALIZE™ band procedure. The functions of the stomach are preserved, while reducing the stomach volume.
